As education budgets are cut all across California, drama departments are disappearing, and teachers with little to no theater experience are being asked to step in and pick up the slack. Drama Department in a Box is designed to provide schools and teachers with all the information and instruction they need to successfully stage a play. Containing information from casting tips to costuming suggestions to historical context and author biographies, this program helps put drama back into school.
Ordering a box for your school is a simple process. Send us an email with your school's name, a contact name and email/phone number, and the show you are interested in. Catalogued boxes are available immediately. If you are interested in a new box, the turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. If you are interested in a new show, send us the same information, and a description of what you are looking for; we will contact you shortly.
Our boxed shows are rated according to cast size (large/small) and actor’s skill level (experienced/inexperienced), making it easy to find one that will work for you. With the written information that comes in a box, you will also receive acces to unlimited email technical support. You can also arrange for a specialist to visit your school for an additional fee.
Drama Department in a Box is an affordable alternative for schools that have seen the demise of their drama programs. Ranging in cost from $50 to $200, there is a box for every budget.
